Oh, for goodness' sake, get a grip, will ya??????
I've had a soft spot for JJ since the 70's when Shoot did cut-outs of players you could stick on a wallposter. After a couple of weeks on the bedroom wall JJ's legs started to curl upwards suggesting some superhuman bone structure that explained his mazey runs.
One of the few greats of the time who a kid in Brum could recognise without seeing any Scottish footbal.
I think this is my favourite quote from the BBC:
"Like Johnstone, modern-day Bhoys legend Henrik Larsson wore the Celtic No.7, and the Swede paid his own tribute to the former Scotland winger.
"It's hard to find words that express how I feel at the moment," said Larsson, now with Barcelona.
"I didn't understand what an honour it was to wear the same number jersey as him when I first arrived at the club, but by the time I left I knew exactly why it was so special.
"Most people will remember him as an incredible player, but to me and a lot of other people it was just as important that he was a really fantastic guy."
And I should add ...
...messaline, you really are a grumpy old bugger.
Nice comment martin, thanks for that
He was one of the best.
Check out this link for a wee reminder of what a great player he actually was:

Its not that pathetic really. Its just a measure of how a remarkably talented individual can affect you with something beautiful like really really classy football.
A sad day indeed.
Fucking horrible thing to die from.
Great link from Darren.
Thanks for your comments, folks. And, yes, superb link Darren, cheers big man!
