All this is starting to give a whole new meaning to the word 'intelligence'.
It also bothers me that although I have the radio on all day I only find out about this through you when it should be the lead story in every news round up.
Blame Mountbatten and Attleee!!
If Pakistan was still British territory (like it was until 1947), those crazy Yank imperialist wouldn't dare to attack any villages there. You gave them their independence, but they are unable to preserve it, letting Americans conduct airstrike on their own territory! And the Pakistanis are too chicken to conduct an air raid on Crawford, Texas (or maybe they are too afraid they might acccidently kill that Cindy Sheehan chick instead of Dubya?). Anyway, the world belongs to the brave. If you can't preserve it, you don't deserve your independence. Pakistan doesn't.
Please come back David Duff!
Jim, you DO NOT mean that...
I did hear about this through my cold addled brain so it couldn't have been that far off the news agenda. But ai agree it aint being given the prominence I would give it. When did we pass into the Newspeak of Orwell? Clearly that's whre this definition of "intelligence" arose.
Good point about London, Glasgow or Sydney. To top it off, Pakistan needs earthquake relief.
This is my comment on Martyn's post about You Are What You Eat, which I can't put on his blog because I am not a blogger!
Gillan McKeith may well be a fraud and I have my doubts about anyone eager to delve into the faeces of others. However, I do find that show and others similar (Celebrity Fit Club ... Ten Years Younger ... even that Trinny and Susannah thing) quite 'affirming' because they appear to put people in control of their lives, and the people appear to be happier as a result. Note my deliberate use of the word 'appear' - I am aware that a progressive narrative is imposed for my entertainment. Come on now, is it not better to be healthy than unfit, and do we not have an natural aversion to the unfit and unhealthy, even though we are socialised out of our disgust to some extent? I find the sight of droves of fat people in Morrison's filling their trolleys with pies unutterably depressing and, yes, disgusting.
Hey! I've just seen Sonia's picture for the first time! Definitely a man.
Messalina,
Myopia is a treateable disease. All you need are glasses.
That is funny - the bloke calling himself sonia tries to tell us that there is some connection between him and the pic he found on some soft porn site simply because he insists there is!
Sonia, don't be so literal. I did not mean that the picture was definitely of a man, I meant that only a man would put that picture on their blog. And I do wear glasses. Varifocals.
