All I Need *

Shameless invite for sympathy here I know, but, hi ho hi ho, it's off to work I go for a marathon 11-hour shift. I believe it's a pointless exercise for reasons which I cannot blog about, but let's just say: I HATE TROTSKYISTS! The only, yes only, problem with the Soviet Union in the 1930s was that only internal counter-revolutionary criminals were taken care of by the peoples' courts. Why didn't they set their sights a bit wider and come over here and also sort out the likes of Tony Cliff and all those other wankers who have been a barrier to working-class progress in Britain over the last 50 years or so?

Erm, I'll get my coat!!

* Jay Z - the boy thinks I'm nuts, but I think The Blueprint in particular is a work of genius. Hah, and you lot thought I was a simple white-boys-and-guitars person!

I think you should lay off the Luke Haines CDs for a couple of days. I think the close proximity to the lyric sheet has contributed to your current change of mood.;-)

No sympathy whatsoever, an 11 hour shift on a Sunday, Double Time then??

Re the Jay Z. I must be getting old, never heard of him. Guess you got the bling n' stuff as well!

It could also be the news from the Scottish cup third round which is acting as a bit of a depressant.

Darren: you could be right, although I think Haines is more humorous than rage-inducing. That maybe says more about me than it does him!

Jane: Your comments are nice, not like those other nasty folks.

Jim: It wasn't about the money - flat rate for first seven hours, double time for next three (it was a 10-hour shift, I couldn't count properly in my post) and a day off in lieu - ya beauty! Jay Z - partner of Beyonce (she of the superb Destiny's Child - no irony here by the way!), produced her excellent ????, what was the name of it again? and magnificent rap/hip hop man in his own right! You're like so not with it daddy-o!

Martyn: yeh, what a shitter - Dundee beating Stranraer did not put me in a happy mood today at all! Well, I presume that's what you're talking about.

Wait up - "working" eleven hours on a Sunday?

Could the annual TAP (Tolpuddle's Annual Piss-Up) have come around so soon again?

What the hell what that all about??? Are you a Stalinist or something? Why do you hate Trotsky, of all people?

Enemy of the people, betrayer of the revolution, murderer of Kronstadt, enslaver of the masses.

That Trotsky, do you mean?

Stalin was a greater betrayer of the Revolution than Trotsky. What is Kronstadt compared to the famine in the Ukraine in 1932-3 ?
Isn't Stalin a bigger "enemy of the people" with 20 millions ++ tortured and enslaved in the gulags?

You're right, of course. Trotsky never had the opportunity to show us what he could have done.
