Some people may have noticed that shops and bars are closing at London Bridge Station. It's all in preparation for building beginning on this. Looks rather exciting to me!

It does look arresting. But I'm sorry to have to bring up the philistine argument; wouldn't the money have been better spent elsewhere?
Well, phil bc, we could debate what capitalist firms spend their profits from their workers' labours on - higher wages for rank and file employees, higher corporate tax, etc - but the bottom line is that no public money is going into this one (I think). So better a big swanky building and a nicer railway station than the absence of anything else, I would say!
