Think It's A Game *

I was talking rubbish last night. I didn't just go for a drink after not going to the cinema. What I actually did was go to a record shop, then go for a drink. Superb choice of music was purchased, it must be said. The Kinks ... Are the Village Green Preservation Society, Best of the Pretty Things and Interpol Antics.

Anyway, just got back from the big game - Welling (and their horrible parents) 2, Red Lions B 3. They're in the final! Superb! I think I'll celebrate by, surprise surprise, going down the pub.

Then you headed down Carnaby Street, got some dapper strides, winkle pickers and generally looked dissaffected?

Yes, I should have bought SF Sorrow, but I have been looking in record shops for two years for that album, so far without success. I saw the Pretty Things live two or three years back, supported by the excellent Soft Boys (Robyn Hitchcock fronting), doing the SF Sorrow thang, and what a great night that was. But, never been able to get a hold of a copy since.

Anyway, to answer your question, no I didn't head down Carnaby Street, i didn't buy any dapper strides or winkle pickers but, definitely, YES, i generally looked disaffected.

Ah, you bought them at last. Nice.

Now get Arthur (Decline and Fall etc) by the Kinks with the real version of Victoria on it "... from the rich to the poor, Victoria f**ked them all" and Ray's lyrical triumph Yes Sir, No Sir.

And hey, what's all this?

"But I like it even more that one of them has taken on the pseudonym Voroshilov... this name alone means that I know who this really is." - i thought my comments were the dead give-away

Voroshilov, your comments were, of course, a dead giveaway.

Well that's alright then. Oh and I meant Some Mother's Son, not Yes Sir, No Sir
