Okay, getting an award from Spiked may not be everyone's idea of a big prize, but check its football writer's end-of-year column.
And I don't agree with him on the Peter Crouch front, he's easily England's best fit striker and has been for the past year.

You can always rely on Spiked to get it wrong. Crouchie is king!
And without wanting to be po-faced and censorious myself, that "gayest" football team award is also bordering on the suspect, I think. Back to 1970s cliches of gay men with limp wrists and excessively sensitive dispositions. I'm sure there are genuinely gay footie teams out there who'd be only to happy to take to the pitch without shinpads against Mr. Allirajah.
I'm with you on that one, John - definitely a cliche from Allirajah. But still stupid of Arsenal to ban inflatable mobiles and fake tenners and the like.
As for Crouch, I repeat: He is by far the best English striker in the game right now!
