Let's Do It *
As stolen from Darren, who stole it from somewhere else, look here to find out what was number one on the day you were born - or, any other day for that matter.
Mine is Roy Orbison with Pretty Woman, while Take That and Pray was at number one the day the boy was born - the boy who is giving me the opportunity to blog, btw, as he is off sick and I, being the caring parent, am off work to look after him.
* Cole Porter

Mine is 'All I Have To Do Is Dream' by the Everly Bros. Which might explain a few things. My daughter's is, rather appropriately, I feel 'Never Gonna Give You Up' by Rick Astley. And I haven't, of course. Any child who pies a hot boy because he hasn't heard of the Clash is worth hanging on to.
messaline - yes, it does explain a few things, like .... wow, you are THAT old?
As for "pies a hot boy" - what does that mean? Maybe I'm slow today (what do you mean "every day?") but I don't know what anyone is talking about!
Bogue site -- got an error msg that it couldn't find anything, to try again. Sod that, when I realized that my birth year was the earliest year option on there! Don't feel bad Messalina, you're a pup compared to me!
It could have been worse, Marc, you could have been born before the advent of recorded sound ... I may be mature but I know that "pies a hot boy" means "terminates a relationship with an attractive young man".
Marc - you must be mistaken, it only goes as far back as '52 (tee hee hee).
Messalina - that girl is so very sensible.
Well mine was apparently Shirley Bassey with the Wally Stott Orchestra singing 'As I love you' which I have never heard of. More interestingly Wally Stott became Angela Morley following sex reassignment in the 1970's.
The things one can learn on Wikipedia!
JJ - so did it become the Angela Morley orchestra?
Mine was Whitney Houston, Saving All My Love for you! Great!
